07 DAY BUKIT LAWANG TREKKING

DAY 1.MEDAN – BUKITLAWANG

We will pick up you from the airport and depart to Bukit Lawang to orang utan rehabilitation centre in Gunung Leuser Nature Park.

DAY 2.BUKITLAWANG (B)
In this impressive nature reserve you can see the orang utans in their natural environment. This involves a walk through the jungle for 3 – 4 hours with professional local guide. The sportive hiker can take exciting jungle trips here. However walkers must be fit and have suitable, large profile shoes.

DAY 3.BUKITLAWANG – BRASTAGI (B)
You will make a trip along fascinating route to the mountain village of Brastagi in the Karo Highlands. Here you can view two active volcanoes, the Sibayak and the Sinabung. In Brastagi you can visit the colorful fruit market.

DAY 4. CLIMBING SIBAYAK VOLCANO (B.L)
After early breakfast drive to the slope of Sibayak Vulcano and then start climbing to Sibayak Volcano, after lunch on the top (simple lunch will be provided by our guide) you will down hill by another route to the hot spring, where you can take rest and swim in hot spring pool, late afternoon drive back to Hotel Sibayak Volcano
this is an active volcano 2165 m above sea level. The ascent passes through thick tropical forest. From the mountain peak can look down into the crater which is still actively producing lava. You can also see the beautiful scenery around them. Climbing start from the village of Jarang uda it is about 10 minutes driving from our Hotel, and takes it’s about 2,5 hours to climb the mountain. The temperature at the peak is about 16° C

DAY 5. BRASTAGI – SAMOSIR (B)
After breakfast leave for Prapat On the way stops at Lingga to visit the Batak Karo traditional village then drive to Dokan, another Karonese traditional village, next stop is Sipiso Piso waterfall and the longhouse of King Purba. Arrive in Prapat at Lake Toba in late afternoon. Cross Lake Toba by ferry boat to Samosir Island.

DAY 6. BATAK TOBA EXCURSION (B)
Samosir Island – tour to Tomok, Ambarita and Simanindo and visit typical Toba Batak villages: Tomok with its kings tombs, Ambarita with its execution tables and in Simanindo with traditional Batak dance.

DAY 7. SAMOSIR – MEDAN (B)
Early morning after breakfast, crossing back the lake to reach Parapat then continue drive to Medan via Pematang Siantar, transfer to your Hotel or to airport.
