8 DAYS BUKIT LAWANG ADVENTURE

DAY 1.MEDAN – BUKITLAWANG
We will pick up you from the airport and depart to Bohorok/Bukit Lawang to orang utan rehabilitation centre in Gunung Leuser Nature Park.

DAY 2. BUKITLAWANG – Jungle trek – BRASTAGI
In this impressive nature reserve you can see the orang utans in their natural environment. This involves a walk through the jungle for 3 – 4 hours with professional local guide. The sportive hiker can take exciting jungle trek here. However walkers must be fit and have suitable, large profile shoes. After jungle trek we will drive to Brastagi by fascinating route to the mountain village of Brastagi in the Karo Highlands. Here you can view two active volcanoes, the Sibayak and the Sinabung. In Brastagi you can visit the colorful fruit market.

DAY 3 BRASTAGI – SAMOSIR (B)
After breakfast leave for Prapat. On the way stops at Dokan the Karonese traditional village, Sipiso Piso waterfall and the longhouse of King Purba. Arrive in Prapat at Lake Toba in late afternoon. Cross Lake Toba by ferry boat to Samosir Island.

DAY 4 TOBA TOUR (B)
Samosir Island – tour to Tomok, Ambarita and Simanindo and visit typical Toba Batak villages: Tomok with its kings tombs, Ambarita with its execution tables and in Simanindo with traditional Batak dance.

DAY 5 SAMOSIR ISLAND – SIPIROK (B)
Cross-backs the lake to reach Parapat. Continued to Jangga Dolok to see traditional Batak village. Proceed to visit pineapple farm. Stop at Balige with it’s richly ornament market building. Then to visit hotspring in Sipoholon. Continue journey to Padang Sidempuan through Tarutung. Stop at incense trees. Enjoy the scenic view of mountains along the winding road.

DAY 6 SIPIROK – BUKITTINGGI (B)
The journey today is rather long but worthwhile. It exhibits the inner part of Sumatra. The scenery of mountains, river valleys and traditional village will relive you from your weariness. Stop at Aek Sijornih to see waterfall drops among thousand coconut palm trees. Next, stop at botanical garden to see pepper, cinnamon, etc. Proceed to Panti nature reserve and the equator monument. Continue journey to the most charming town, the heart of Minangkabau Highland and the center of matrilineal society of west Sumatra.

DAY 7 MINANGKABAU TOUR (B)
After breakfast, city tour first stop at Fort de Cock and Big Ben then continue to the traditional market of Bukittinggi afterward drive to Batu Sangkar via Tabek Patah, here you will enjoy the beautiful scenery of field rice and some of Minangkabau traditional village and next stop is Sungai Tarab to see traditional coffee mills still driven by water whells, arrival at Batusangkar is considered the centre of Minangkabau culture that has some historical remains of stone tablets with ancient Hindu script drive to Pagaruyung to visit the duplicate Palace of Minangkabau Kingdom, afternoon return to Bukittinggi via Padang Panjang and visit The Minangkabau cultural centre museum next stop is Pandai Sikat village to see Minangkabau traditional hand weaving and wood carving.

DAY 8 BUKITTINGGI – PADANG AIRPORT
